ARF responds to immediate disaster needs in collaboration with community based NGOs and international aid agencies. ARF then conducts research to develop an integrated approach for medium and long-term recovery.
This approach ensures that resources are shared effectively. ARF has an advocacy role to connect communities with government agencies and resources. Emergency teams have helped rebuild communities affected by natural disasters in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iran, Nepal, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
